A cartographic appendix to "Public transport for all (continued)? Journeys within Brussels for disabled people" (Brussels Studies vol. 200)

Description

In a paper entitled "Public transport for all (continued)? Journeys within Brussels for disabled people" published in open-access journal Brussels Studies (2025, vol. 200, to be issued on 17 Feb 2025), we have investigated the gap in public transport access to the city faced by disabled people when using public transport in Brussels. The research is carried out at the origin-destination level from all STIB-MIVB stops to 20 selected destinations across the city. The calculations compare unconstrained accessibility with accessibility restricted by six different travel constraints. Readers are invited to refer to the full paper for detailed explanations, reasoning and interpretation of the results.
Our calculations at the origin-destination level result in 420 maps:
    20 destinations
x 7 situations (no-constraint accessibility + the six travel constraints)
x 3 indicators (total travel time, number of transfers, walking distance)

These maps are made available to everyone through this upload. There are 21 PDF files (one for each situation/indicator combination). Each PDF contains 20 maps (one per destination).
