TOURSAFE: Human Vulnerability Assessment Tool

Who is this tool for?
The questionnaire in this tool is intended to help you assess tourist population vulnerability in a particular municipality or touristic area.
If you are someone who works in disaster risk reduction, wildfire safety management on a municipality scale, or are responsible for significant tourist infrastructure it may be the right tool for you.

How does this tool work?
Please, answer the questions based on your job or role. There are no questions that collect any personal information.
The questions focus on the tourist and local populations and your capacity to keep them safe. Please, keep in mind to focus on a single touristic area (municipality or a touristic sector) to keep the advice relevant.
If your area of responsibility, such as municipality has several different tourism sectors and related infrastructure, you may want to complete the questionnaire for each of them separately.
After you have completed the questionnaire, you will get a list suggestions that may help improve safety of tourist and local populations in wildfire emergencies.

What happens after?

How do you install the tool?

1. Download the Tool

   • Obtain the zip file from the official webpage.

2. Extract the Files

   • Right-click the downloaded zip file and select Extract All.
   • Choose the desired directory where you want to save the files.

3. Launch the Tool

   • Navigate to the extracted folder and double-click "TOURSAFE.exe" to start the tool.
   • If prompted, provide the necessary authorization to open the file.
