In this presentation, Judith Fathallah explores some of the benefits of choosing to publish Open Access, sharing some of her own experiences as an author, and addressing some of the concerns that persist among scholars considering OA book publishing. Fathallah also introduces the work of the Open Book Collective and other organisations working to support community-led, open and equitable OA book publishing. 

This version of the presentation was delivered at the University of Central Lancashire, at the event 'Choosing Open Access for Books' on 1 March 2024.
