Using the Austrian research infrastructure database, the overall development of publicly visible and cooperatively usable research infrastructures in the period from 2016 to 2026 is presented as an infographic. The research infrastructure database is open for collaboration and offers an information platform for the creation of new collaborations in science, research and industry. The aim of the database is for research infrastructures to be found for new collaboration projects or to be offered via the database. The infographic shows the development trend from 799 in 2016 to over 2,600 infrastructures in 2026. In 2025, the database had over 556,500 visitors from over 170 countries worldwide. The graph also visualises over 140 research institutions and companies with over 2,600 cooperating infrastructures that voluntarily participate in the database. These research institutions and companies are mentioned and shown by name in the graphic.
