Raw DJI Mavic 3M RTK RGB and Multispectral drone imagery collected on 2024-05-28

This dataset encompasses the following data: raw RGB and Multispectral imagery collected over 6 vineyards in Alentejo with DJI Mavic 3M RTK drone. 
 

Further details:

1. The six vineyards are located in two geographic areas approximately 40 km apart. The vineyards belong to two different winegrowers: Reynolds Wine Growers and Joao Portugal Ramos (JPR). The six vineyards are coded AB01, AB02, TR01 for Reynolds and AB01, AB02 and AR01 for JPR. AB stands for Alicante Bouchet variety, while TR stands for Trincadeira and AR for Aragones.

2. The data were collected on the following time period: 2024-05-28, 2024-06-24, 2024-07-22, 2024-08-06, 2024-08-23, 2024-09-04

3. All flights were performed using the follow terrain option (AGL) due to the morphology of the terrain. The flight altitude was set to 30 metres. By default, with AGL the DJI Mavic 3M RTK does not allow flying less than 30 metres. 

4. The drone flights cover areas ranging from XX ha to XX ha. The drone flew perperdicular to the vine rows.

The spatial resolution of the RGB imagery is 1.4cm, while the one of the multispectral is 4.8 cm.

For all the imagery, the RGB format is .PNG while the Multispectral format is .TIF. There are 4 imagery in .TIF corresponding to the 4 bands of the multispectral camera.

The time at which the flights were performed ranged between 11 and 14:30. The exact time appears in the filenames of the folders. 

Important note: despite the drone mounts RTK the imagery were georeferenced manually in the processing phase due to lack of calibration of the DJI RTK-2 station.
