Spinal Compression Syndrome: Uncovering Etiologies, Demographics, and 3-Month Mortality. Trends in a Case Series

Description

Neoplastic causes accounted for more than half of cases of spinal cord compression syndrome and are linked to a high mortality rate within three months of diagnosis. With 1 in 3 patients experiencing a fatal outcome, all related to neoplastic etiology, this research underscores the critical need for early detection and targeted intervention, especially for emergency and intensive care physicians. These findings lay the groundwork for future research, offering valuable data to refine diagnostic strategies and improve patient outcomes in high-risk populations.
