Description

Chlamydotheca deformis paracolombiensis nom. nov.

The ICZN (e.g., Article 57.2.3) considers species and subspecies of the same nomenclatorial rank, grouping them in the term “species-group”. Therefore, Chlamydotheca colombiensis Roessler, 1985 and Chlamydotheca deformis colombiensis Roessler, 1986 are primary homonyms. We therefore introduce a new name for the most recent one, namely Chlamydotheca deformis paracolombiensis (Meisch et al., 2024) nom. nov. pro Chlamydotheca deformis colombiensis Roessler, 1986 nec Chlamydotheca colombiensis Roessler, 1985.
