Ankylopteryx fraterna Banks, 1939: 473.Type locality: Not yet fixed, syntypes from China (Guangdong [Kwantung]: Moi Hinon, and Hainan: Nodoa; Ta Hian; Vo Law).

Ankylopteryx laticosta Banks, 1939: 472. Type locality: China (Hainan: Ta Hian).

Ankylopteryx lii Yang, 1987: 204. Type locality: China (Xizang: Zäyu: Shajiong).

Ankylopteryx tibetana Yang, 1987: 205. Type locality: China (Xizang: Zäyu: Dongjiong).

Indian distribution: Assam: [no further locality]; Karnataka: Raichur Dist.: Jawalagera [Jawalagiri] (village); Vijayanagara Dist.: Kotturu [Kottur] (town); Tamil Nadu: Krishnagiri Dist.: Aiyur (reserve) (Fabricius 1798: 202; Needham 1909: 205; Banks 1933: 3; Chatterjee 1933: 5; Ma et al. 2020: 48).

World distribution: China, Japan, Laos, India (Fabricius 1798: 202; Ma et al. 2020: 48; Oswald 2024a).
