Description
In this paper, an enhanced state estimation algorithm for active distribution systems (DSs) is presented. Its distinct characteristic is the integration of the local control logic of the distributed renewable energy sources, i.e., the droop control, into the mathematical formulation of the state estimation problem. Numerical results on a real medium-voltage DS are presented to highlight the superior performance of the proposed method against the conventional weighted least squares estimation algorithm in terms of increased accuracy and observability.
