The genome assembly and annotation of Chinese fir
Description
Cunninghamia lanceolata (Chinese fir) is one of the most important coniferous tree species in China, yet genomic data is still lacking. Here, we present a chromosome-level genome assembly obtained using PacBio HiFi and Hi-C sequencing. BUSCO analysis shows that the genome assembly covers 91.7% of the embryophyta_odb10 complete dataset. By integrating homology-based, de novo, and RNA-seq-based predictions, we annotated a total of 50,609 "high-confidence" protein-coding genes in the Chinese fir genome.
