Application of Digital Technology in Environmental Resource Management for Sustainable Future

Description

The rapid advancement of digital technologies has revolutionized the way governments and organizations approach environmental resource  management. This paper examines the role of e- governance in harnessing the power of digital  technologies to foster sustainable futures. The study explores how the adoption of technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and the Internet of Things can transform the delivery of environmental services, optimize organizational processes, and create new value for citizens and stakeholders. Drawing on a systematic review of the literature, the paper presents a conceptual framework that outlines the key factors  influencing the successful implementation of e- governance initiatives in environmental resource  management. The findings suggest that effective e- governance can help mitigate the negative effects of  human activity on the environment, improve waste management and pollution control, and promote the sustainable use of natural resources. However, the paper also underscores the challenges and potential risks associated with the digital transformation of environmental governance, highlighting the need for robust governance frameworks, data security measures, and public-private collaboration. The study concludes by outlining a research agenda to further explore the intersection of e-governance, digital technologies, and environmental sustainability.
