O tempo espiralar na vida, no ritual e na arte: a tecnologia ancestral na arte afrodiaspórica

O estudo é proveniente de uma pesquisa guarda-chuva do grupo CorpusLab da UEMG, e da investigação em pós-graduação stricto sensu em arte da UEMG-MG de 2023. A metodologia uniu investigação bibliográfica, em consonância com uma investigação etnográfica do ritual de Candomblé. A temporalidade é entendida como elemento fundamental para principiar uma leitura e presentificação da arte, sendo interpretado como uma tecnologia ancestral africana. A investigação deparou-se com a problemática da substituição da temporalidade linear pela espiralar, como requisito à compreensão da iconografia do contexto afrodiaspórico. Para tanto, utilizou-se a proposta analítica do tempo espiralar, de Leda Maria Martins. O ideograma adinkra Sankofa do povo Akan com sua recuperação do passado para compreender o presente. E a teorização da leitura antropológica das obras de arte de Geoges Didi-Huberman. O que resultou em uma leitura perspectivada na afrocentricidade, mas que referencia a vivência e os saberes em diáspora, portanto, uma postura decolonial.
Abstract
The study comes from an umbrella research by the CorpusLab group at UEMG, and from stricto sensu postgraduate research in art at UEMG-MG in 2023. The methodology combined bibliographical research, in line with an ethnographic investigation of the Candomblé ritual . Temporality is understood as a fundamental element to begin a reading and presentification of art, being interpreted as an ancestral African technology. The investigation was faced with the problem of replacing linear temporality with spiraling, as a requirement for understanding the iconography of the Afro-diasporic context. To this end, the analytical proposal of Tempo Espiralar, by Leda Maria Martins, was used. The adinkra Sankofa ideogram of the Akan people with their recovery of the past to understand the present. And the theorization of the anthropological reading of Geoges Didi-Huberman's works of art. This resulted in a reading based on Afrocentricity, but which references the experience and knowledge of the diaspora, therefore, a decolonial stance.
