CHAOTIC ANT SYSTEM OPTIMIZATION FOR PATH PLANNING OF THE MOBILE ROBOTS

ABSTRACT

This paper presents an improved ant system algorithm for path planning of the mobile robot under thecomplicated environment. To solve the drawback of the traditional ant colony system algorithm (ACS),which usually falls into the local optimum, we propose an improved ant colony system algorithm (IACS)based on chaos. Simulation experiments show that chaotic ant colony algorithm not only enhances theglobal search capability, but also has more effective than the traditional algorithm.
