Description

Row and relative values of physiological and metabolic traits analysis of three herbaceous species: Brachypodium rupestre (B, in dataset), Hieracium pilosella (H, in dataset), and Trifolium pratense (T, in dataset). Data were collected in Ecotron chambers (terraXcube, Bozen, South Tyrol) in wich three different elevations were simulated: 1,500 m a.s.l., 2,500 m a.s.l. , and 4,000 m a.s.l. The air pressure changed in the cambers according to the elevation tested (i.e. 85 kPa at 1,500, 75 kPa at 2,500, and 62 kPa at 4,000). Simultaneously, the same set of temperature, humidity and solar radiation was mantain in all the three chambers according to the field conditions measured by a climate station located at 1,500 m a.s.l.
