Description

Uredo hyalina Dietel (Anamorphic species)

Type:—Location of the holotype specimen has not been found. Isotypes in NY (618325) and TNS (F115332).

Description:—See Hiratsuka et al. (1992).

Hosts and distribution in Japan:— II on Carex siderosticta Hance (Hon) (Ito 1950, Hiratsuka 1960, Hiratsuka et al. 1992)

Notes:—Only uredinial stage is known. Taxonomic relationship of this species with Puccinia caricis-siderostictae, P. hyaline, P. mandshurica, P. miyakei and P. taganesuge reported on C. siderosticta should be examined.
