Description

Puccinia yokotensis Miura

Type:— Lectotype is selected from specimens in SAPA and designated here; II, III on Carex sp., Japan, Akita Prefecture, Yokote-shi, 17 October 1908, M. Miura, SAPA24011, [MBT10021346]. Paratype in S (F25619).

Description:—See Hiratsuka et al. (1992).

Hosts and distribution in Japan:— II, III on Carex conica Boott var. conica (= C. okushiriensis Akiyama) (Hon, Kyu), C. daisenensis Nakai (Hon), C. fernaldiana H. Lév & Vaniot (Hon), C. multifolia Ohwi var. multifolia [= C. dolichostachya subsp. multifolia (Ohwi) T. Koyama, C. dolichostachya var. glaberrima (Ohwi) T. Koyama] (Hon), C. stenostachys Franch. & Sav. (Hon), C. tashiroana Ohwi (Hon) (Sydow & Sydow 1913a, Ito 1950, Hiratsuka 1960, Morimoto 1960, 1961, 1962, Hiratsuka et al. 1992).

Notes:—This species has been reported from China and Russian Far East (Tai 1979, Zhuang et al. 1998, Azbukina 2005).
