Puccinia taganesuge Miura

Type:—Specimens used in original description by Ito & Homma (1938) has not been found. Neotype is designated here; II, III on Carex siderosticta Hance, Japan, Nagano Prefecture, Kawakami-mura, 12 July 1983, TSH-R20713, [MBT10021418].

Description:—See Hiratsuka et al. (1992).

Hosts and distribution in Japan:— II, III on Carex leucochlora Bunge var. leucochlora [= C. breviculmis var. leucochlora (Bunge) Makino, C. royleana Nees ex Wight] (Hon), C. siderosticta Hance (Hok, Hon, Shi), C. dimorpholepis Steud. (Hon) (Ito 1950, Hiratsuka 1960, Morimoto 1960, Hiratsuka et al. 1992).

Notes:—This species is widely distributed in Japan.
