ZMB 6748, skull; Bismarckburg, Togo; collected by Büttner, 1890/1891
Comment: Geoffroy's description of Cynocephalus olivaceus is based on specimens collected in Guinea, Golf von Benin [Gulf of Guinea] by Cabaret in 1847. Due to the date of discovery (year, collector), the specimen ZMB 6748, marked as a type specimen of Cynocephalus olivaceus, could not be a type.
