Current valid name: Pan troglodytes schweinfurthii (Giglioli, 1872)
Holotype: ZMB 31641/31642 (= A 48.09.1), female, adult, skull, skin, skeleton; “ 80km NW Boko am Tanganjika” [80 km northwest from Mboko at Tanganyika Lake, Democratic Republic of the Congo]; collected by Grauer, August 1908.
