Toolkit for measuring costs and benefits of managing peatland for ecosystem services
Description
This report has the objective of to create a toolkit which details methods to estimate the costs and benefits of managing peatland for ecosystem services for which high priority valuation gaps have been identified (Roberts et al., 2024) through the specific research questions:
1. What are the benefits and disbenefits associated with the high priority services? Including identified relationships from Roberts et al., 2024.
2. How can the value of the identified benefits be measured? Accounting for different resource availability where possible.
3. How can the costs of managing peatland for the identified ecosystem services be measured? Building on the costing framework developed in Roberts, 2024.
