CULTURAL LIFE IN THE SOVIET PERIOD (ON THE EXAMPLE OF SURKHANDARYA REGION)

This article is devoted to the study of the cultural life of Surkhandarya region during the Soviet Union. It covers the development of cultural policy, theater and art, libraries, press, education and science based on annual facts. The changes that occurred in the culture of the region during the Soviet period are analyzed and their impact on the life of the local population is considered. The article is of significant scientific importance in studying the history of the region.
