Description

Background of the Study.

Sustainable practices in the hospitality industry are essential for addressing global environmental concerns. According to the United Nations World Tourism Organization, hotels account for approximately 1% of global carbon emissions, emphasizing the need for the adoption of eco-friendly practices. Measures such as energy-efficient lighting, water conservation, and waste management not only reduce environmental impact but also enhance customer satisfaction and brand reputation. Tagaytay City, a renowned tourist destination in the Philippines, has seen an increasing number of eco-friendly hotels integrating green practices into their operations. This study investigates the sustainability initiatives of selected eco-friendly hotels in Tagaytay City, assessing their effectiveness and challenges.
