Междуличностното доверие е един от основните компоненти в личните взаимоотношения, работната среда и икономическия обмен. Учените в областта на социалните науки твърдят, че доверието води до индивидуално благополучие и гладко функциониране на обществото. Доверяваме се на колегите си, че ще работят за групови проекти; доверяваме се на компаниите, че ще ни предоставят надеждни продукти и услуги; доверяваме се и на правителствата, че ще се отнасят честно и справедливо спрямо населението. Поставяйки доверието в центъра на социалните отношения, Ротър въвежда скалата за междуличностно доверие за измерване на индивидуалните различия в доверието. Той предлага тезата, че поведението на доверие е свързано с общото очакване, че на другите може да се разчита, и че това очакване се формира чрез ежедневните взаимодействия с приятели и познати, авторитети, както и с други социални агенти. По този начин скалата измерва степента, в която хората вярват, че на другите може да се разчита, че ще изпълнят обещанията си. В различни изследвания се обсъжда, че тази скала измерва доверието като отделен конструкт или като четири свързани измерения: политически цинизъм, междуличностна експлоатация, обществено лицемерие и надеждно изпълнение на дадена роля. Настоящото изследване има за цел да апробира за български условия скалата за междуличностно доверие на Ротър. За валидиране на резултатите е използванa Скала за социална желателност-15.

Abstract (English)

Abstract

Interpersonal trust is one of the key components in personal relationships, work environments and economic exchanges. Social scientists argue that trust leads to individual well-being and smooth functioning of society. We trust colleagues to work on group projects; we trust companies to provide reliable products and services; and we trust governments to treat the population fairly and justly. Placing trust at the centre of social relations, Rotter introduced the Interpersonal Trust Scale to measure individual differences in trust. He proposes that trust behaviour is related to the general expectation that others can be relied upon, and that this expectation is formed through everyday interactions with friends and acquaintances, authority figures, and other social agents. Thus, the scale measures the extent to which people believe that others can be relied upon to fulfill their promises. Various studies have discussed that this scale measures trust as either a separate construct or as four related dimensions: political cynicism, interpersonal exploitation, societal hypocrisy, and reliable role performance. The present study aims to validate Rother’s Interpersonal Trust Scale for Bulgarian settings. The Social Desirability Scale-15 was used to validate the results.
