Description

This dataset includes the supporting data for the paper: Marsden et al. "Financial system interactions with ecosystem tipping points", available at [published reference will appear here when available]. This study used a novel combination of location-specific supply chain data and a newly constructed dataset of financial flows covering lending and capital markets activities (equity and debt issuances) over a decade.

The dataset is structured around the following:

  • Raw data from Trase Supply Chains (Trase, 2022; Benedict et al., 2023; Gaveau et al., 2022; Lathuillière et al., 2022; zu Ermgassen et al., 2023).
  • Processed data identifying "ETP risk companies".
  • Transaction and balance sheet data sourced from LSEG (previously Refinitiv Eikon) - these data were acquired under licence and so are not publicly available. Code is available at the repository below to replicate our analysis, for those with a licence to this data.

The data is structured to be used in conjunction with the workflow available at https://github.com/lyd-m/tipping-points-empirical-paper

Full directory structure is available in the _README file in the dataset.
