Ion Velocity Distributions in Nine Thin Current Sheets Observed in the Magnetotail at Lunar Distances [Dataset]

Description

Each .zip archive contains ion velocity distribution data along with general plasma characteristics (e.g., magnetic field, plasma density, etc.). Ion velocity distributions are provided either as 1D reduced ion velocity distributions along the GSM y-direction over the entire time interval or as 2D cuts in the xz and xy planes at the current sheet center and in the lobes.
