The Western South Slavic verbal suffix -nV/-ne
Authors/Creators
Description
This database supplements the derivational sub-database of WeSoSlaV (Milosavljević et al. 2023) with the data reported in Štarkl et al. (2024). It contains two sub-databases that document the properties of verbs with the affixal segment nV/ne in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian/Montenegrin (BCMS) and Slovenian, as included in the WeSoSlaV database (Milosavljević et al. 2023). This segment appears as ne in the present tense forms of both BCMS and Slovenian, but the vocalic component differs between the two languages in the infinitive stem: nu in BCMS and ni in Slovenian (hence the abbreviation nV/ne, where V stands for a vowel).
