MINKA Citation Guidelines

These guidelines offer clear instructions for citing contributions from our growing community of observers who document biodiversity through the MINKA Citizen Observatory platform. From citing specific citizen science projects to using photographs, accessing data via our API, or retrieving observations through global repositories, this guide ensures both scientific rigor and appropriate recognition of community contributions. Developed by the EMBIMOS research group at Institut de Ciències del Mar (ICM-CSIC) and drawing inspiration from GBIF's citation guidelines, this document provide a framework that acknowledge both academic requirements and the vital role of citizen scientists in advancing biodiversity knowledge.
