Description

During the RDA 23rd Plenary meeting breakout session the RDA Multi-Omics Metadata Standards Integration (MOMSI) Working Group introduced and discussed the first set of completed outputs and deliverable activities (slides 1-16, 75-77). During this session we heard from invited speakers representative of “Multi-omics Data Standard Integration Challenges, Gaps, and Community Use-Case Developments” in alignment with our MOMSI WG work plan outlined in our case statement.

  • Speaker 1: Tim Van Den Bossche (VIB-UGentCompOmics) - "Metadata in metaproteomics: integrating MIxS into SDRF-Proteomics" (slides 18-44)
  • Speaker 2: Bert Droesbeke (VIB Data Core) - "MARS: Multi-omics Adapter for Repository Submissions" (slides 46-61)
  • Speaker 3: Katherine Heal (PNNL, NMDC) - "Modeling mass spectrometry metadata in the National Microbiome Data Collaborative to enable multi-omic data reusability” (slides 63-74)

Outcomes from this session serve to promote new diverse collaborations and discussions to strengthen ongoing Multi-omics data standard harmonization efforts among community stakeholders to improve educational awareness across Omics disciplines at a global level.
