Description
The present dataset contains all data from the figures in the publication 'Attosecond virtual charge dynamics in dielectrics'. The study investigates ultrafast light-field-driven phenomena in monocrystalline diamond using attosecond transient reflection spectroscopy, accessing a broad photon energy range. Our study reveals that virtual inter-band transitions (VITs) play a critical role in the timing and adiabaticity of the crystal response, even in regimes typically attributed to intra-band motion. By combining precise experimental calibration with numerical calculations, we demonstrate that VITs are indispensable for accurately describing strong-field-induced phenomena in solids. These findings advance our understanding of ultrafast non-linear optical processes, paving the way for innovations in PHz electronics and information processing.
