Gestione FAIR e validazione nell'archivio di dati Data@UNIMI: approcci e percorsi, con un focus sulle scienze umane
Authors/Creators
Description
The poster focuses on the paths adopted at the University of Milan to promote an open approach to research data via the institutional repository dataverse (Data@UNIMI), with a particular focus on the humanities and social sciences.
Some research projects in the Humanities carried out at the University of Milan have been outlined, highlithing that they are progressively engaging in the sharing of their data in open access mode in Data@UNIMI. The poster, then, concentrated on the introduction of the new workflow of the repository, with a renewed system of quality control of deposited data and metadata supported by the practice of content validation before publication by the support group and the university's data stewards. This validation guarantees a more thorough control and also implies a higher quality of the data that are made available for open access, as can be seen by the increase in the number of downloads and as endorsed by the obtainment of the CoreTrustSeal. The new workflow has similarly made it possible to establish a more capillary and tailored dialogue with researchers, given the efforts to raise the academic community's awareness of the need for an approach based on the reproducibility and validation of research, the transparency of processes and open access to the results of science.
