FAIR-AI Science Mapping - AI Terminology & Search Strategy

Within the Austrian Artificial Intelligence Mission the lighthouse project FAIR-AI conducted within Task 7.1 a mapping of Austrian AI R&D activities was conducted. This task provided a detailed characterization of Austrian R&D activities in the field of AI over the past five years. Based on previous projects a keyword search strategy was developed to be able to identify AI-related scientific literature and European and Austrian funded research projects. By using the developed keyword search in systematic R&D databases relevant AI research areas and actor networks were identified and analyzed. This methodology and selected results were presented to Austrian ministreies and funding organizations on October, 3rd, 2024.
