Decontaminated fungal genomes from the family Onygenaceae (order Onygenales)

This repository contains data from four decontaminated genome assemblies of fungi belonging to the family Onygenaceae (order Onygenales). These include Amauroascus niger UAMH 3544, Amauroascus verrucosus UAMH 3576, Brunneospora queenslandica CBS 280.77, and Byssoonygena ceratinophila UAMH 5669, along with the custom Kraken2 database used for decontamination.

The raw genomic data for these four species were retrieved from the NCBI database. Decontamination was carried out using a custom Kraken2 database, which was constructed from five high-quality genomes phylogenetically related to the contaminated genomes.
