Indigenous territorial control and knowledge mobilization to counter unaccountability in Peru's Oil Circuit

This research investigates how Indigenous Peoples in Peru’s Oil Circuit involved in ecoterritorial conflicts, engage with and (de)construct discourses of human rights (un)accountability and roles of (different) duty bearers, including the state and corporations. It seeks to highlight the complexities of their ongoing  struggles and the importance of translation and knowledge mobilization. The study uses qualitative methods, including ethnographic fieldwork, semi-structured dialogues, participant observation, document analysis and learning circles to ensure that Indigenous voices are central to the knowledge production process.
