Workshop title: Scientific Research Community Management 101

Workshop duration: 75 min (delivered twice)
Synopsis: Participants will be introduced to the essential principles, practices and values for building sustainable research communities, with a particular focus towards the adoption of open research methodologies. Materials will draw from the training developed and undertaken by the Open Research Community Management group, who successfully lead research communities across multiple disciplines, and The Turing Way: A community contributed handbook to reproducible, ethical and collaborative data science. We will also reference our recent preprint on professionalising Community Management roles in interdisciplinary research projects.
