This dataset contains 6 tar files of data that were used for the manuscript: 'The impact of a weakened AMOC on European heatwaves'. More specifically,

1. tasmax-day-EC-Earth3.tar.gz

It contains 3 files with the daily maximum near-surface temperature (tasmax) for the Northern Hemisphere and the boreal summer season (JJA). Each file contains the concatenated 10-year-long 20 ensemble members for each set of experiments described in the manuscript (ctrl, a14 and a07).

2. zonmean_ua-Amon-EC-Earth3.tar.gz

It contains 3 files with the monthly zonal mean of the zonal wind (zonmean_ua) for the boreal summer season (JJA). Each file contains the concatenated 10-year-long 20 ensemble members of each set of experiments described in the manuscript (ctrl, a14 and a07).

3. NA_lowpass_ua850-day-EC-Earth3.tar.gz

It contains 3 files with the daily 10-day low-pass filter of the zonally average of zonal wind at 850 hPa (ua850) over the sector 0°-60°W between 15°N and 75°N, used to compute the jet stream indices. Each file contains the concatenated 10-year-long 20 ensemble members of each set of experiments described in the manuscript (ctrl, a14 and a07).

4. zg500-day-EC-Earth3.tar.gz

It contains 3 files with the daily geopotential height at 500 hPa (zg500) for the Northern Hemisphere and the boreal summer season (JJA). Each file contains the concatenated 10-year-long 20 ensemble members for each set of experiments described in the manuscript (ctrl, a14 and a07).
