Description
Diaspis bromeliae (Kerner) — pineapple scale
Cosmopolitan, widespread in the Lesser Antilles, restricted to indoor plantings in cooler temperate regions; polyphagous, feeding on plants belonging to 12 families; pest of pineapple and other bromeliads. Recorded from Saint Lucia by Watson (2002) and Malumphy (2012).
