Browsing the Connectome: 3D Functional and Structural Brain Networks in the Cloud

The poster was presented at the 2014 Annual Meeting of the Organization for Human Brain Mapping (OHBM) in Hamburg, 8–12 June.

Project:

The incorporation of three-dimensional brain models into neuroscience research reports not only facilitates intuitive understanding among the original researchers but also makes it easier to share data and insights with others. While interactive software programs for displaying three-dimensional brain data have made their way into common visualization packages and grown increasingly feature-rich, the majority of authors continue to rely on 2-D images when reporting their results in publications despite the loss of information the shift to 2-D entails.

This project aims at providing a user-friendly platform for the publication of functional & structural connectivity data in an interactive 3D visualization directly linked to your paper.
