Description
This report outlines the development and implementation of the Institutional Publisher Service Providers (IPSP) Toolsuite, a deliverable of DIAMAS Task 4.2. It includes a description of the process that led to the writing of the Toolsuite articles, their review, translation, and online technical development as part of the Common Access Point (CAP). It also refers to partner toolkits as well as the feedback and revisions process, and provides considerations about future sustainability and development.
We define the Toolsuite as a set of tools and resources that support Diamond Open Access (ΟΑ) and the Diamond Open Access Standard (DOAS) including a set of high-level articles, in-depth guidelines and links to self-assessment tools, training materials and other resources.
The Toolsuite launched in October 2024 and can be accessed at https://toolsuite.diamas.org/. Version 1 of the Toolsuite text is also available as part of this report (see Annex 2) and via https://doi.org/10.5281zenodo.14001342
The Toolsuite is structured around the seven core components of DOAS. These are: funding; ownership and governance; open science practices; editorial quality, editorial management and research Integrity; technical service efficiency; visibility, indexation, communication, marketing and impact; and Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDIB), gender, and multilingualism.
The Toolsuite also includes a glossary of terms, keywords and frequently asked questions (FAQs), background information and two further articles, an introduction to Diamond OA and also an article introducing the concept of DO
