Throughout the summer of 2024, I participated in the National Center for Data Services (NCDS) Data Internship. This internship provides practical experience to those looking to enter data librarian positions, while making strides to diversify the profession. During this project, I analyzed job postings related to data curation from the IASSIST Jobs Repository, focusing on trends in job descriptions, salaries, and required qualifications in data curation roles. The analysis covered postings from 2005 to 2024, with a specific focus on states near my location: New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania.
