Description
Slides from ABRIR's Second Global Event on Open and Big Team Science for Psychological Researchers from the Majority World, held on October 23, 2024. The event consisted of two online hackathon sessions (7 AM and 3 PM UTC).
Following a short overview of the ABRIR's mission and the regional events organized by ABRIR hubs (Latin America, Bosnia & Serbia, Malaysia, India, Africa, and Nepal), the slides introduce the topics for the moderated discussion among the participants:
How can we address the following four barriers? (1) Lack of capacity building; (2) Confusing on-boarding procedures; (3) Lack of academic reward or crediting; and (4) Lack of funding and disregard for regionally relevant topics.
The slides link to the Hackathon Meeting Notes Google Doc, with links to two padlet boards used to collect participants' questions and suggestions.
Finally, the slides refer to the Global Majority OS and BTS Network Google Sheet, which was meant to faciliate networking between the participants.
