Reinventing historical source criticism with style and culture. The evidential value of computational authorship analysis and its consequences for data culture in historical scholarship using the example of an alleged autobiography by Adolf Hitler from 1923

In 1923, a volume containing seven of Hitler's speeches was published, featuring a biography recently and controversially attributed to Hitler instead of the volume's editor, Adolf von Koerber. Utilizing computational methods, our study conclusively attributes the biography to Koerber, demonstrating and discussing how computational methods can extend traditional source criticism.
