Triepeolus grandis

Description

Triepeolus grandis (Friese, 1917)

[Holotype: ZMHB; ♂ Jacubaya (= Tacubaya?), Mexico]

This species is distributed from central Mexico to the southern USA (Rightmyer 2008). We reviewed three females identified by M. Rightmyer, two collected in the Sarcocauleschent Shrubland in October 1975 (LACM), and October 1981 (SDNHM) and one collected in the Cape Mountains in October 1941 (CASC). See fig. 133.
