Description

This dataset provides a baseline inventory of living scleractinian coral species recorded at two reef sites in Mangrove Bay, El Qoseir, Egypt. Collected between October 19th and 25th, 2023, the data is presented in a checklist form applying the Darwin Core format (Darwin Core Maintenance Group, 2021).

We used the following 30 Darwin Core terms: typeStatus, occurrenceID, occurrenceRemarks, occurrenceStatus, scientificNameID, scientificName, kingdom, phylum, class, taxonRank, continent, waterbody, country, stateProvince, locality, verbatimDepth, minimumDepthInMeters, maximumDepthInMeters, verbatimLatitude, verbatimLongitude, decimalLatitude, decimalLongitude, geodeticDatum, samplingEffort, eventDate, year, habitat, institutionCode, collectionCode, basisOfRecord.
