Description
Abstract (English)
The CREA-SALUD project is proposed as a program for the prevention of eating disorders (ED) aimed at adolescents in secondary education centers in the province of Alicante. With a prevalence of 1% in the population and similar rates among youth, EDs are one of the main causes of morbidity and mortality, highlighting the need for preventive interventions. The program aims to prevent EDs, enhance protective factors, and promote a healthy body image through social media literacy. It will be implemented through five interactive sessions addressing emotions, nutrition, self-esteem, the influence of aesthetic models, and prevention from family and educational environments. The methodology includes participatory activities and accessible resources for students, families, and educators, with the goal of early identification of those at risk and evaluating the program's effectiveness through questionnaires before and after its implementation
