Description
This was the keynote talk at the 1st AI and Knowledge Graphs for Scholarly Data (AIKG-SD 2024), Summer School Day https://sites.google.com/view/aikg-sd-summer-school-day-2024/. This talk titled "Harnessing Large Language Models as Research Assistants and in Science," delved into some of our recent work applying LLMs for scientific information extraction, empirically testing the readiness of LLMs for ontology construction, and their potential in evaluating complex scientific tasks.
