De-alienation as a qualitative measurement of development

  • 1. ROR icon Lomonosov Moscow State University

Description

The study of any phenomenon of reality involves the question of determining the nature of its process state, conditioned either by its development, or stagnation, or decay, or mutation. Defining the quality of this state, at that is important – as a process, implies
an appropriate system of criteria for measuring its quality. However, the nature of these criteria, unlike growth indicators, cannot be reduced to their formal expression; here a substantive measurement of the process state of the investigated reality is required.
And this substantive measurement entails such a practical engagement with the process of reality development that frees it from dominant forms of alienation. This can only be achieved through the actual resolution of the social contradictions underlying these
forms. This is the essence of social creativity as the process of forming new social relations. Thus, the qualitative measurement of the process state of reality becomes a factor in its actual development. Correspondingly, this leads to the qualitative development of the researcher himself: from an analyst-observer to a subject of social creativity.
