Lobodontus trimaculatus Chaudoir, 1848
Distribution: DOC, GBI, GUI, MOZ, RSA, SLN, ZIM.
Distribution in Guinea-Bissau (Administrative Regions): 1) OIO; 2) QUN.
Historic records:
Bissorã (OIO) (Serrano 2009a).
Material examined: Indjassen (P.N. Lagoas da Cufada) (11º 41´35.62´´ N, 15º 00´03.62´´ W, 23 m alt.) (QUN), 16.VII.2009, 1 male, LT, A. Serrano leg., ASC.
Remarks: The species has a scattered distribution throughout western, central, and southern Africa (Serrano 2009a; Lorenz 2021). The adult specimens of Coli (Quebo) identified as L. trimaculatus, after a new careful analysis, was revealed to belong to a new species of the genus Dontolobus Basilewsky, 1970 (see D. bivari n. sp.). The adult specimen was captured by LT within a semi-humid forest at the beginning of the wet season (Table 1). It is a new species record for QUN Administrative Region, Guinea-Bissau.
