The Role of Green Infrastructure in the Planning and Design of Sustainable Campuses

Description

In this study, the concepts of university and sustainable campus are defined and the principles of sustainable campus planning and design are discussed through a literature review. As a result, in sustainable campuses, green infrastructure practices, waste management, water recycling and transportation with environmentally friendly models contribute to the reduction of environmental impacts and the creation of a sustainable living space. In this way, university campuses not only serve education and research activities, but also become pioneering institutions in the field of sustainability.
