61. Lasianthus subcalvus Craib (1933:27). Type: ― THAILAND. Chanthaburi: Khao Soi Dao, 27 April 1930, A. F. G. Kerr 19421 (holotype K000777003!). (Figure 3 Af & 3Ag).
Thailand: ―PENINSULAR. Nakhon Si Thammarat: 1958, Th. Sorensen, K. Larsen, B. Hansen 677 (AAU, BKF). Trang: Khao Chong, 23 March 1966, C. Boonnab 467 (BKF), 19 January 1966, C. Boonnab 304 (BKF), 10 September 1990, C. Puff, A. Igersheim & V. Urchirakal 900910-1/17 (BKF, WU), Thung Khai, 11 July 2000, V. Chamchumroon VC840 (BKF). Satun: Thale Ban National Park, 12 September 1990, C. Puff, A. Igersheim & V. Urchirakal 900912-2/6 (BKF, WU).
Distribution: ―Endemic to Thailand (South-Eastern, Peninsular).
Ecology: ―Moist evergreen forest, in shaded places at an elevation of 100‒ 300 m. Flowering in March‒April and fruiting in May‒June.
Notes: ― Lasianthus subcalvus has large flowers, 10‒12 mm long, 4 lobed, pilose, fruits fusiform, 1‒2 cm long, glabrous or subglabrous. This species can often be found with flowers and fruits in the field and they often remain on herbarium sheets.
