Description
A description is provided of the Gran Telescopio Canarias (GTC or GRANTECAN), a 10.4m segmented telescope at the Observatorio del Roque de los Muchachos. Its versatile scientific instrumentation, as well as some science highlights that demonstrate its capabilities, are briefly presented.
